About Us

Our Story

Smart Marine Solutions was born out of necessity — and a commitment to doing things right. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the U.S. Virgin Islands became one of the few open anchorages in the Caribbean, our team found itself at the center of a surge in boating activity unlike anything the islands had seen before.

What started as dedicated support for the yachts under our direct management quickly grew as word spread: here was a team that showed up, knew their craft, and got the job done — on the island, without the runaround. Boat owners from outside our managed fleet started calling. Then more. Then more still.

We expanded our services to meet that demand, and today Smart Marine Solutions is St. Thomas’s full-service marine team — handling repairs, maintenance, parts procurement, and systems integration for charter operators, liveaboards, and private owners throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands.
